B.4.5. Accelerator Utilization Record Pointer Fault

An accelerator utilization record pointer fault occurs when the translation for the virtual address pointer to the accelerator utilization record is not in the hardware page table. This fault is basically treated just like any other data storage fault outlined in Section B.4.1, “Page Fault”, Section B.4.2, “Mapping Fault”, and Section B.4.3, “Protection Fault”. The difference between the accelerator utilization record pointer fault and the other data storage faults is the PSL does not perform an EA-to-VA translation. This difference eliminates step one in the procedures outlined in the referenced sections.
